Utah’s K-12 academic proficiency by gender and race/ethnicity

In the “Utah’s Education Pipeline” dashboard, it explores the academic proficiency of Utah’s 4th and 8th graders by their gender and race/ethnicity.
The average proficiency across all grades and subjects has increased over time by more than 19%, but with significant disparities between different racial and ethnic groups in Utah. Advanced proficiency is highest among Asian and White students at 5.3% and 5.9% respectively. As for gender, females reached proficiency more frequently than their male counterparts, averaging to a difference of 2.3% across subjects.
